These are natural crystal stones in their raw, unpolished state, broken into rough chunks that still carry the facets and cloudy veins of the mineral they came from. No tumbling, no glossy coating, no two pieces alike. You tip a bag into a shallow dish or a glass jar and the colour does the work, from the deep purple of amethyst to the banded brown of tiger eye and the milky clarity of white quartz.
Each type is sold loose by weight, one hundred grams to a bag, so you can mix a bowl of green fluorite and clear quartz for a shelf or keep a single stone type for a reading nook. The rough surface is exactly what makes them useful as fragrance stones too: a few drops of essential oil sink into the open texture and release scent slowly through the room.

Because the stones are broken rather than tumbled, every face is a fresh cross section of the mineral, catching light at a different angle instead of the uniform shine of a polished bead. Set a dish of stones on the console by the door or the corner of a desk where the light lands, and the raw colour reads as a small, grounded accent without asking for a plug or a shelf bracket. Swap types with the season, deep purple in winter, clear quartz and green in spring.
For a scented corner, spread the larger three to five centimetre pieces in an open bowl and add a few drops of your favourite essential oil across them. Top up the oil every few days as the fragrance fades, and stir the stones so the fresh surfaces carry it.
When a bowl looks dusty, rinse the stones under cool water and let them dry on a cloth. The natural surface takes water without dulling, and a rinse also clears old oil before you switch to a new scent.
Are the stones polished or raw? Raw. They are natural broken chunks with no tumbling or coating, so surfaces and colours vary from piece to piece.
