A Pot of Succulents, a Tray of Seedlings, and One Color That Tells You Which Is Which
The mint on the balcony, the spider plant by the window and the little succulent on the shelf all look alike once the paper tags blow away or fade. A plastic label card pushed into the soil beside each pot settles the question before you ask it, and a bright face against green leaves is easy to spot from across the grass.
These label cards are flat plastic strips with a flat top end for the plant name and a pointed end that slides into the soil. The photos show them in white, red, green, blue, yellow and pink, stacked in bundles, fanned out in a hand and planted beside pots of succulents, mint and flowering plants. Water beads up on the card face in the garden shots, and a close-up shows a yellow card bending easily between two fingers.
Key Benefits
- Six colors to sort by. Each option is one color: white, red, green, blue, yellow or pink. Give every plant group its own color and a whole bed reads at a glance.
- A pointed end for the soil. The tip pushes straight into potting mix or garden soil, so the card stands upright beside the plant without a tool.
- A flat face for the name. The smooth flat end leaves room for a plant name, a sowing date or a watering note.
- Plastic that meets water. Every option is a Waterproof model, and the garden photos show water beading on the card face.
- Slim enough for small pots. The narrow strip sits next to a succulent in a small pot without crowding the rosette.
- Flexible in the hand. The plastic bends easily between two fingers, as the close-up photo shows.
Best for: Home gardeners with several pots on a balcony or windowsill, seed trays, herb planters and succulent collections that need a quick visual sort.
Why It Works
Color does the sorting that handwriting cannot do from a distance. One color for herbs, one for succulents, one for seedlings that need moving, and the row explains itself. The card is slim, flat and pointed, which is all a soil marker needs to do.
Quick Product Facts: Material: plastic; Options: White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink, each a Waterproof model; Shape: flat writing end with a pointed soil end; Use: plant labels for pots, seed trays and garden beds.
How It Fits Your Routine
On sowing day, push one card into each tray row and write the plant name on the flat face. A row of red cards for tomatoes and a row of green for basil keeps the bench readable while the seedlings are still tiny.
Later in the season the same cards move with the plants. Slide a card out of a seed tray and into the pot where the plant settles, and the color code follows it from the windowsill to the balcony.
At the end of the season, pull the cards out of the soil, wipe the faces and keep them in a drawer for the next planting.
FAQ
Which color should I choose? Each option in the Specification menu is one color: White, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow or Pink. Choose the color you want for a plant group and add another option for a second group.
Do the cards go straight into the soil? Yes. The pointed end is built to push into potting mix or garden soil, and the garden photos show the cards standing upright beside the plants.
Can I use them on succulent pots? Yes. The strip is slim, and one photo shows a card standing next to a succulent in a small pot.
Can I move a card from a tray to a pot? Yes. Slide it out of the tray soil and push the pointed end into the new pot, and the color code goes with the plant.
