This one is a cloth panel wound on a spring cassette: two adhesive plates on one side, a hook on the other, and the line exists.
The panel stands 78 centimetres high on every option and pulls out to about 110, 130, 150 or 180 centimetres depending on which you take. It is a fine woven cloth rather than bars, so the corridor keeps its light and you can still see the floor on the other side. Let go of the leading edge and the spring winds it back into a column about five centimetres deep against the frame.
Best for: Doorways, hallways and the mouth of a kitchen in a home where a cat or a calm dog needs a boundary suggested rather than a fortification built.
Read this part before you buy. The supplier calls this an anti jump barrier and says it prevents pets from escaping. We have taken that out, because a 78 centimetre cloth panel held by adhesive plates is a partition, not a restraint, and no test, load figure or standard comes with it. A determined dog will go through it and most cats can clear 78 centimetres from standing. Do not use it at the top of stairs, do not use it in place of a certified child gate, and do not leave an animal with it unsupervised expecting it to hold. What it does well is mark a line in a room for an animal that respects one.

Mounting day. You clean the frame, press the plates on, leave them the time the instructions ask for, then clip the cassette on and pull the panel across to check it lands where the hook is.
After that it becomes furniture. Across at night so the kitchen bin stops being a project, wound back in the morning so the corridor is a corridor again.
Wipe the cloth with a damp sponge rather than soaking it, and keep an eye on the adhesive plates on a painted surface, especially in a warm room, because that is the part that lets go first.
Will it stop a dog jumping over or pushing through? We are not promising that. It is 78 cm of cloth on adhesive mounts, with no load rating and no standard behind it. Treat it as a partition for an animal that respects a boundary, not as a restraint.
Can I use it at the top of stairs or for a child? No. Nothing on this sheet supports either use and we will not suggest it. A stairway needs a certified, screw fixed gate.
