This is a single moulded pad, 48 cm across the front, 39 cm deep and 14 cm at its thickest point, weighing 750 g on the maker's own figure. The top face is a coloured panel that dips into a shallow well where you sit, and the whole rim is wrapped in a light grey bird eye polyester, the honeycomb weave with a visible open cell that sits under most office chair covers.

Two things are cut into it rather than printed on it. The rear edge carries a deep U shaped notch that runs right through the pad, so the back of the seat is open rather than solid. Two small oval ports pass through the front section on either side. A zip runs along one side so the cover comes off the foam entirely.

How It Fits Your Routine

It comes out of the compression pack flat and unpromising. Leave it on the chair overnight and it takes its moulded shape back by morning. Set it with the U notch at the rear edge of the seat, not the front, and the well will land where it was designed to.

Across a working week it stays put on most fabric seat pans without any strap. On a slippery leather chair or a car seat it will want repositioning once or twice a day until the cover and the seat learn each other. It moves between the two easily since nothing is fixed to either.

For upkeep, unzip the side and pull the cover off every few weeks. Wash the cover on its own and let the foam air flat while it dries, out of direct sun. The maker gives no washing instruction for the foam core, so do not put it in water.
