The tap is forty metres away and the car is filthy, so you fill a bucket instead.

Drop the filter screen into the bucket, clip the five metre hose to the base of the gun, and squeeze. The pump inside pulls its own water, so there is no standpipe to connect and no hose reel to drag out. Half a litre a minute is not a lot of water, which is exactly the point: one bucket does a whole car, and the jet stays hard because the pressure comes from the pump rather than from the mains.

Why It Works

A mains washer trades water for pressure: high flow, big motor, fixed to a tap. A battery gun does the opposite. How It Fits Your Routine
