You drop the powder brush, the blush, the liner and the blender bristle-up into the cup, and they hold there, fanned and visible, instead of rolling loose in a drawer. The snap-tab strap folds over the top when you travel, so the whole set stays upright and covered from the bathroom shelf to a weekend bag.
The body is a firm PU shell over a rigid tube, wiped clean with a cloth, with a removable lid and a stitched edge. It comes in three heights, from a compact 18 by 7 cm to a tall 23 by 8 cm, and in a wall of finishes: solid black or pink, a pink to blue gradient, grey marble, glittered starry black, caramel or silver, a woven gold koi print, and a quilted studded version. The brushes in the photos are shown for scale and are not included.
