Overview
This set pairs one receiver with four bite alarms, so you can cover several rods at once and keep your hands free. When a fish moves your line, the alarm on that rod sounds and the receiver tells you which one is active, so you do not need to watch every tip.
Each alarm screws onto a standard 3/8 inch metal thread, the fitting used on most rod pods and bank sticks, so it goes straight onto gear you already own. The housings are moulded in ABS.
The receiver carries its own antenna and a lit screen. The maker states a wireless range of up to 100 meters, which gives you room to move around the swim, set up a shelter, or rest while the set watches the water. That reach suits night sessions, where a clear sound and a bright alarm matter most.
Set it your way on every alarm
Each alarm has three rubberised buttons, so you can tune it to the water in front of you.
- Sensitivity across six levels, so a slow drift and a fast run each register the way you want.
- Volume across six levels, from a quiet peg to a busy bank.
- Tone across six levels, so each rod can carry its own sound.
- A power light that holds for about forty seconds at switch on, at switch off, and on a bite.
- Coloured indicator lights that flag a bite, both a line that pulls tight and a drop back where it falls slack.
- An external jack that takes a swinger or shaker for finer indication.
On the receiver, a three position switch selects power on, a vibration alert, or an audible alert. The screen shows a number for the rod that is active and it reads up to ten alarms in total, so a bigger setup stays easy to follow.
Choosing your set
Four configurations are offered in the Specifications menu. Every one includes the receiver, four alarms, and a zipped carry case with foam cut outs. The extras decide which code you pick.
JY-19X-4k holds the receiver, four alarms, four quick adapters, and the case, and is the lightest choice at about 730 g.
JY-19X-SW swaps the adapters for four stainless steel swingers and four weights, at about 912 g.
JY-19X-SWK combines both, with four swingers, four weights, and four quick adapters, at about 930 g.
JY-19X-SWD pairs the four swingers and weights with a tent light for the shelter, at about 960 g.
