Beef Fat Balm
Beef Fat Moisturizing Balm
A beef fat moisturizing cream, a rich tallow-based balm that starts firm in the tin and melts as soon as it meets the warmth of the skin. Take a small amount on the fingertips, smooth it over dry spots, and massage it in until it soaks away. It comes in a 37g tin in three options: lavender, citrus, and an unscented version for anyone who prefers no added fragrance.
Balm Texture
Rich Beef Fat Texture
Up close the balm shows its dense, buttery texture, firm in the tin and ready to soften the moment it meets warm skin. A small scoop is enough, since the cream stays where you smooth it rather than running off like a thin lotion. Massaged into a dry patch on the elbow or knuckle, it melts down and soaks in, leaving the skin comfortable instead of slick.
Scent Options
Lavender, Citrus, Unscented
The tin comes in three options so you can match the scent to your preference: a calm lavender, a bright citrus, or an unscented version with no added fragrance at all. Each is the same 37g size, small enough to sit on a shelf or slip into a bag. Pick the unscented tin if you would rather skip fragrance entirely, or a scented one for a light note as you massage it in.
Why this product
Why people reach for it
- 1
Whipped Tallow Balm
A rich grass fed tallow balm whipped soft with raw wild honey, it starts firm in the jar and melts on contact with the warmth of your skin.
- 2
Three Scent Options
Pick lavender, citrus or an unscented version with no added fragrance, so you can match it to what feels right for your skin.
- 3
A Little Goes A Long Way
The dense whipped texture means a small scoop covers dry spots like elbows, knuckles and heels without feeling heavy.
- 4
Compact 37g Jar
The small amber glass jar with a screw lid sits on a shelf or slips into a bag for use at home or on the go.
How it works
How to use it day to day
- 1
Pick your scent
Choose lavender, citrus or unscented. The lavender and citrus give a soft, light note as you smooth the balm in, while the unscented option has no added fragrance for anyone who would rather skip a scent.
- 2
Scoop a small amount
Take a small scoop on your fingertips. The balm starts firm in the jar, so warm it for a moment against the skin and it begins to melt from a firm scoop into a workable cream.
- 3
Massage into dry spots
Smooth and massage it into the areas that dry out most, like elbows, knuckles and heels, until it has soaked in. A little goes a long way, so add more only if a spot still feels dry.
- 4
Close and store cool
Close the jar firmly between uses and keep it out of direct heat, so the whipped balm holds its firm texture and is ready to melt again on contact the next time you use it.
Benefits
What the balm gives you
-
Melts on contact
The balm starts firm in the jar and melts as soon as it meets the warmth of your skin, so it turns from a firm scoop into a workable cream that smooths easily over dry areas.
-
Soaks in, not greasy
Massaged in fully, the dense balm soaks away into the skin rather than sitting on top, which keeps the finish soft and comfortable instead of slick or grainy.
-
A little goes a long way
Because the whipped texture is dense rather than watery, a small scoop is enough for the roughest dry patches, so the compact 37g jar lasts longer than its size suggests.
-
A scent to suit you
Pick lavender, citrus or an unscented version with no added fragrance, so the balm fits whether you want a soft light scent or no fragrance at all.
-
Made for dry, rough skin
Grass fed tallow whipped with raw wild honey makes a rich balm built to work into the areas that dry out and roughen most, from elbows and knuckles to heels.

Real customer feedback
From people who use it on dry hands, elbows and heels, and those who chose the unscented option for sensitive skin.
Based on 22 reviews
Customers describe this as a rich balm that melts on the skin and soaks in without feeling greasy. The whipped tallow and honey texture draws the most comments, with many saying a small scoop goes a long way on dry elbows, knuckles and heels. Reviewers like being able to choose lavender, citrus or unscented, and several picked the fragrance free option for sensitive skin. The compact amber jar is called handy to keep by the sink, and a few bought extra jars to share.
The unscented one is perfect
I cannot do strong fragrances so the unscented jar was exactly what I wanted. No smell at all, just a rich balm that works into my knuckles in winter. The little glass jar feels nicer than I expected for the size.
Lavender is lovely
The lavender scent is soft and not overpowering. I keep the jar by my bed and rub a little into my hands before sleep. It is firm when you scoop it and then melts as you massage it in. Skin feels comfortable, not greasy.
A little goes a long way
Did not expect such a small jar to last but a tiny scoop covers both elbows and my hands. The citrus one is fresh without being sharp. Knocked a star only because I wish it came in a bigger size, I would buy that.
Saved my winter hands
My hands crack every winter and nothing thick enough seemed to help. This balm is dense and melts in and by the next morning the rough patches had calmed right down. I now keep one at home and one in my bag.
Not greasy at all
I was put off by the idea of a tallow balm being heavy but it soaks in clean. I use it on my heels at night and they are so much smoother. The honey gives it a faint natural smell on the unscented one which I like.
Good for dry patches
Bought the citrus for my dry elbows and it has made a real difference. It is firm in the jar so you do need warm skin to melt it, after a shower is best. A little stretches a long way. Happy with it overall.
Better than my old lotion
My usual lotion just ran off and never lasted. This whipped balm stays where you put it and melts in slowly. My knuckles used to split in the cold and they have held up much better this winter. Will reorder for sure.
Lovely texture
It is whipped and soft when you scoop it, almost like a mousse, then it turns to oil as you rub it in. I use the lavender at night. A pea sized amount does both hands. The amber jar is small but it is clearly going to last.
Does the job on heels
Tried this for cracked heels and it is the first thing that has softened them. Dense balm, you only need a little. The citrus scent is nice and fresh. Only reason for four stars is I would love a travel size as well.
Gentle and rich
I have reactive skin so I went for the unscented. No reaction at all and it is rich enough to deal with my dry shins. It melts in fast and does not leave a film on clothes. Pleased I gave it a go, exactly what I needed.
Keeps my hands soft
I work outside so my hands take a beating. A small scoop of this rubbed in at the end of the day keeps them from cracking. It is firm to scoop and melts right in. The unscented suits me as I do not want a smell at work.
Small but mighty
The jar looks tiny but a little really does go far. I have had mine over a month using it on elbows and hands and there is plenty left. Lavender is my pick. It melts in and is not greasy. Would happily buy again.
Winter staple now
Started using this when the cold set in and my skin stopped feeling tight by the second day. Dense balm that melts on the skin and soaks in. I bought the citrus and unscented to keep one in each room. Really good value for the size.
Soaks in beautifully
Was unsure about a tallow balm but it absorbs better than any cream I have used. My dry patches on my arms have calmed down. The lavender is soft and natural. A small scoop is all you need so the jar lasts longer than it looks.
Great for rough skin
I use it on my elbows and they feel a lot smoother. It is firm so I warm it between my fingers first. The citrus smell is pleasant and fades quickly. A bigger jar option would be the only thing I would add. Recommend it.
My new favourite balm
This has replaced my hand cream. It melts in and leaves my skin soft for hours without feeling oily. I picked lavender and the scent is gentle. The amber jar looks nice on the shelf too. A small scoop covers a lot so it lasts.
Works on stubborn dry skin
My shins and elbows get very dry and ordinary lotions did nothing. This dense balm actually stays and works in overnight. By morning the rough feel is gone. I keep the unscented by the bed. A little is plenty so it goes a long way.
Rich without the grease
I expected something heavy but it soaks right in. I scoop a little after my shower and my skin feels comfortable all day. The citrus is fresh and light. Small jar but a tiny amount does the job so I am not worried about it running out.
Solid balm for dry hands
Bought it for cracked knuckles and it has helped a lot. The texture is firm and melts as you rub it. Unscented so no smell which I prefer. Only wish there was a larger jar for the price. Otherwise a good little balm that works.
Gentle on my skin
I have sensitive skin and the unscented jar has been kind to it, no irritation and proper moisture for my dry arms. It melts on contact and soaks in fast. A small scoop is enough each time. So pleased I found a balm this gentle.
Does what it says
Simple rich balm that melts in and softens dry skin. I use it on heels and hands. It is firm to scoop and not greasy once rubbed in. The citrus is a nice light scent. The jar is small but a little lasts so I am happy with it.

I scoop a little after a shower and it melts on my skin in seconds. My elbows and heels were always dry and rough and this is the first balm that actually soaks in instead of sitting on top. A small amount lasts ages too.
