FAQ
Questions before checkout
How does the projection effect work?
The shell is pierced iron with a floral cutout pattern, and a warm LED sits inside it. When the lantern lights up at dusk, the LED shines through the cutouts and turns the shell into a stencil, so the floral shapes fall onto the walls, fences and patio floor around it. Instead of a flat beam, you get a layer of soft patterned light across the garden.
Do I need wires or batteries?
No. The solar panel sits on the cap and recharges through daylight, so there are no wires to run and no batteries to buy or swap. You set the lantern where it gets sun during the day, and it stores enough charge to glow through the evening on its own.
Does it turn on by itself?
Yes. A built in light sensor watches the sky and switches the lantern on the moment dusk arrives, then powers it down at sunrise so the panel can recharge. There is no switch to flip, no timer to program and no app to pair. You leave it in place and the garden lights itself each night.
How long does it stay lit each night?
On a full day of charge the lantern gives about six to eight hours of warm glow each evening. Runtime depends on how much sun the panel gets through the day and the season, so a bright summer day stores more charge than a short, cloudy winter one. After a sunny day it comfortably covers an evening outdoors.
Can I leave it outside in the rain?
Yes. The coated iron body is weather resistant and made to stay outdoors through rain and breeze, so you can keep it on the patio, balcony or in a flower bed across the seasons. A quick wipe of the shell and the solar panel now and then keeps the pattern projecting clean and the panel charging well.
How do I hang it or stand it up?
You have two options with no extra parts. A built in hook on the cap lets the lantern hang from a tree branch, a pergola, a shepherd hook or a balcony rail. The included ground stake snaps into the base when you would rather plant it along a walkway or among flower beds, so you can move it around until the glow falls where you want it.
What is the shell made of?
The shell is coated iron, cut with an open floral pattern that gives the lantern its projection effect and its decorative look by day. The metal feels solid in the hand rather than light plastic, and the coating helps it stand up to outdoor weather while keeping the dark finish that suits a garden setting.
Where does it look best?
Anywhere you want a soft patterned glow after dark. It suits a patio table, a balcony corner, a path edge, a flower bed or a tree branch over a seating area. Because it projects the floral pattern onto nearby surfaces, it works best near a wall, a fence or a floor where the shapes can land and layer the space with warm light.
