Dryer Ventilation Cleaning Kit with Vacuum Adapter
Lint slips past the screen on every drying cycle and settles inside the trap slot, the duct, and the space behind the machine. Over time that build up slows the airflow, makes the dryer run longer, and is a known cause of household fires. This kit gives you a way to reach those hidden channels and pull the lint back out.
The set works in two steps. A long flexible brush loosens the packed lint from inside the trap slot and the vent, then a flexible hose and two adapters let you connect the same spots to your own vacuum cleaner and draw the debris away.
What is in the kit
The kit holds four pieces, each with a clear job. Together they cover both the loosening and the removal, so one purchase handles the whole task.
- A long flexible brush with dense bristles on a twisted wire core and a wooden handle
- A flexible plastic hose with a flattened nozzle tip for the trap slot
- A wide vacuum adapter that fits over the end of a vacuum hose
- A stepped connector that joins the plastic hose to the vacuum adapter
The brush bends around corners and reaches deep into the lint trap housing, where a straight tool cannot go. The bristles grip the felted lint and bring it toward the opening as you draw the brush back out.
The flattened tip on the hose slides into the narrow trap slot, and the flexible body follows the bend of the duct. With the vacuum running, loosened lint is pulled straight into the machine rather than scattered on the floor.
How to use it
Unplug the dryer before you start, and switch off the gas if you have a gas model. Take the lint screen out so the slot is open.
Run the brush into the trap slot first and work it in and out to break the lint free. Then fit the hose to your vacuum with the two adapters and pass it through the same slot to lift what the brush has loosened.
The kit also reaches the vent duct behind the machine and the exhaust hood on the outside wall. The narrow brush suits other tight gaps around the home too, such as the coils behind a fridge or the space under a radiator.
Fit and compatibility
The two adapters step between common hose sizes, so the kit fits most household vacuum cleaners, including upright, canister, and cordless stick models. You push the adapter onto your vacuum hose by hand, with no tools needed.
