Product information
Frequently bought together
You clip the last curved block into place, set the little railcar on top, and it powers itself around the loop you just built.
This is a DIY magnetic track set. You build the run yourself from chunky plastic blocks that snap and twist together, then a rechargeable railcar rides the track you designed. Straight blocks, curves, arches and ramps join in almost any order, so the same box becomes a flat oval one afternoon and a tall climbing circuit the next.
The railcar is shaped like a rounded high speed train and holds to the track with strong internal magnets, which is how it stays on inclines, arches and the underside of a bridge section. Four suction cup feet let you carry the track up onto a smooth wall, a window or a tiled surface. The blocks are moulded plastic with peg holes on every face, and the car charges from the included USB cable.
Key Benefits
- Build it your own way Chunky blocks snap and twist together into curves, ramps, arches and long straights, so every layout is different.
- Self powered railcar The included electric railcar drives itself around the finished track once you switch it on.
- Magnetic grip on the rail Strong magnets inside the car hold it to the track through climbs, arches and upside down sections.
- USB rechargeable The car charges from the supplied USB cable, so there are no loose disposable batteries to fit.
- Play up the wall Four suction cup supports lift the track onto glass, tile or a smooth wall for a vertical run.
- Grows with the piece count Choose 90, 108, 159 or 172 pieces for a longer, taller build.
Best for: children from three years and up who like to build and rebuild, with an adult nearby because of the strong magnets and small parts.
Why It Works
The whole set rides on one idea. Every block carries magnets and peg holes, so pieces lock firmly yet pull apart with a twist, and the car keeps contact with the rail instead of relying on gravity. That is why the track can loop overhead or climb a wall without the car dropping off, and why a young builder can take the layout apart and start again without any tools.
Quick Product Facts: Material: moulded plastic blocks; Includes: one electric railcar, track blocks, decorative scenery, road signs, support pillars, four suction cups and one USB cable; Piece counts: 90, 108, 159 or 172; Power: built in rechargeable cell, charged by USB; Maker age marking: three years and up; Box marking: 3C toy certification printed by the maker.
How It Fits Your Routine
Tip the blocks out on the floor and let the build be the game. A first layout might be a simple ground level loop; by the second sitting it becomes a figure eight with an arch the car has to climb.
When the floor runs out of room, press the suction cup supports onto a window or a tiled wall and carry the track upward, so the car appears to drive sideways across the glass.
At tidy up time the whole run twists apart into a flat pile of blocks that drops back into the box, and the car sits on its USB cable to charge for the next session.
FAQ
Does the train really float or levitate? No. It is a motorised car that holds to the track with magnets. Nothing floats in the air; the magnets are simply what keep it on climbs and arches.
Does it need batteries? No disposable batteries. The railcar has a built in cell that you charge from the included USB cable, so the runtime is not printed by the maker.
What age is it made for? The maker prints three years and up on the box. It contains strong magnets and small parts, so keep younger children away from it and supervise play.
How many cars are included? One electric railcar comes with each set, along with the track blocks, road signs, supports and suction cups.
