Are these dry cotton pads or already soaked?
They arrive pre soaked in the JIYU toner essence, so you do not add your own toner. Lift one pad with the built in tab and sweep it straight across clean skin. The jar stays sealed to keep the rest of the pads soaked between uses.
What is the difference between the two sides?
The smooth side is for daily morning and evening toning to prep, hydrate and glow. The textured side is for a deeper polish, held on the skin as a short fifteen minute treatment when you want to work on dullness and uneven tone.
Which ingredients are in the essence?
Each pad is soaked in niacinamide and alpha arbutin for tone, snail mucin and madecassoside for soothing hydration, licorice root and ethyl ascorbic acid for a brighter look, and centella asiatica with a peptide complex for the look of firmer skin.
Can I use them on sensitive skin?
The formula is dermatologically tested and built around soothing centella and snail mucin, so it is gentle for daily use. As with any new skincare, start with the daily toner side and use the exfoliating side a few times a week rather than every day.
How often should I exfoliate with the textured side?
Use the smooth toner side every morning and evening. Save the textured exfoliating side for two or three short treatments a week, leaving it on for about fifteen minutes, so skin stays smooth without being over polished.
How many pads come in the jar?
One sealed jar holds one hundred dual sided pads. Used as a daily toner morning and evening, that is enough for over a month, and the integrated lift tab keeps the pads clean and soaked until the last one.
Do the pads dry out once the jar is open?
No. The flip lid reseals after each use and the pads sit in their essence inside the jar, so they stay soaked and ready. Press the lid closed after lifting a pad and the rest keep their moisture until you need them.
Can I use them after makeup removal?
Yes. After cleansing, sweep the smooth toner side across the face to refresh and rebalance the skin before serum and moisturizer. It is a calm final step that leaves skin hydrated rather than tight.
