FAQ

Questions before checkout

Is the stone real pyrite?
Yes, the beads are cut and polished from natural pyrite. Because it is a real stone, the colour and the grey flecking vary slightly from bead to bead, so no two beads read exactly alike. Pyrite has a metallic gold tone and a density that plated plastic beads cannot fake, which gives the strand a quiet heft on the wrist.
How does it fasten?
There is no clasp. The beads are strung on an elastic stretch cord, so you roll the bracelet over your hand and it settles against the wrist on its own. That makes it simple to put on and take off with one hand, with nothing to clip or buckle.
Will it fit my wrist?
The stretch cord gives, so one strand suits a range of wrist sizes. The strand measures from about seventeen to nineteen centimetres, which is roughly six and three quarter to seven and a half inches when stretched, and it settles back snug against the wrist once it is on.
How big are the beads?
The pyrite beads are round and polished and measure about eight millimetres across, a little over a quarter of an inch. They sit close together along the cord so the strand reads full and even, with a smooth surface that lies flat against the skin rather than catching on a sleeve.
Can I stack it with other bracelets?
Yes, it is made to layer. Wear it alone for a clean single strand, or slide it next to other beaded and metal bracelets when you want a mixed, stacked wrist. The metallic stone tone reads warm next to gold, silver or darker strands, so it works in plenty of combinations.
Does each bracelet look the same?
Because pyrite is a natural stone, every strand is a little different. The grey and silver flecking runs through the surface in its own pattern on each bead, so the bracelet you receive will have its own character rather than the flat, uniform look of plated beads.
Is it suitable for men and women?
Yes, the stretch fit and the neutral metallic stone tone suit a range of wrists. The bracelet sits low and flat and reads warm against both casual and dressed up sleeves, so it works on its own or as part of a stack for anyone who likes a beaded strand with real stone weight.
How do I keep the beads looking their best?
Wipe the beads with a soft dry cloth now and then, and keep the bracelet away from water, lotion and perfume. Taking it off before showering or swimming helps the polished pyrite keep its metallic gold sheen and keeps the stretch cord in good shape over time.
