How does the mitt pick up pet hair?

How do I get the mitt on and off?
There is a yellow pull tab at the cuff. Hold the tab, slide your hand in, and the mitt seats quickly. The mesh back gives a little stretch for an easy fit, and the same tab helps you slip it off when you are done.
Does my hand get hot while I clean?
